How to Clean Tile Flooring

  1. Sweep or vacuum the floor daily. This creates loose dirt, pieces of food and other pieces of debris that can accumulate on the tile floor. Dirt that is allowed to sit in wet areas can quickly turn into a removable rash.

You should sweep or clear the floor before you can clean or sanitize.

After the floor is washed, run a dry cloth flag or dust mop.

If you have a marble or natural stone floor, make sure you use a soft broom to sweep. A rough broom can scratch the natural floor. [2]

  • Sweep the floor with warm water. If there are no stains on the floor or heavy cleaning is needed, running a damp mop on the floor will be enough to keep it clean. After cleaning a part of the room, clean the mop in fresh warm water, and until the whole floor is mopped.

You can choose to add a small amount of dish soap to the mix to remove daily dust and debris.

For everyday shine, simply wipe the floor with a clean, dusty cloth, or consider using a dry mop like a sofa.

  • Dry floor Whether you use water mixed with water or detergent, run dry mop in small sections on the floor when you work in the room with your mop. This will prevent new dirt from accumulating faster and the grout from becoming stain.
  • Clean up the spread immediately. If you spill a glass of juice or even water, clean it immediately. The longer it sits, the more time it will have to indulge in disgust. Dried orange juice and other sugary liquids also become irritatingly sticky.
